Tools for Searching

PsychSpider provides the following tools to help you find what you are looking for:

  • A search form to enter a string that the documents must match. You find these search form either on each page at the right side, in the navigation under PsychSpider or with the advanced search mask of PsychSpider.
  • Operators to broaden or narrow the extent of your search.
  • A results list of matching pages to determine if the search engine has found what you are looking for. For most queries, the PsychSpider produces a ranked list where the documents at the top of the list are more likely to be of interest than the documents toward the bottom.

Additional Information

Tip of the week: Some terms may have more than one meaning in a query. "Depression" can be the illness or the time of the Great Depression in the US. To get relevant results combining your search term with other words might help (Tip 11).
