ZPID Poster Presentations at ICPS

When the International Convention of Psychological Science (ICPS)1 will take place in Vienna, Austria, from March 23-25, the Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) will participate with two poster presentations.

Erich Weichselgartner will present a system for research data management which will facilitate the transition from fragmented data sets to an integrated Open Psychology. Armin Günther will present his analysis of retractions of journal articles in psychology. The research was triggered by some spectacular cases of social psychologists accused to have faked their research.

The ICPS is organized by the Association for Psychological Science (APS) 2and an international network of organizations and individual scientists.

According to the organizers, the ICPS is meant to stimulate scientific advances that are integrative. »Challenges in psychological science can only be met by boundary-spanning investigations that address a phenomenon with diverse methods and at multiple levels of analysis.«
